Louis Falco was an internationally acclaimed modern dancer and choreographer, best known for his electrifying, charismatic performances, for the groundbreaking repertory he created for his own Louis Falco Dance Company, for the dances he made for other world-renowned troupes, and for his choreography in the 1980 motion picture Fame.

Falco was also an avid photographer. He took thousands of pictures. The photographs selected for this book were shot between 1978 and 1986. They were chosen from a collection of 14,652 scattered negatives corresponding to 525 grease penciled contact sheets preserved in 63 catalogued folders and stored in seven acid-free boxes as part of the Louis Falco Archive. And, they are an invitation into another facet of this legendary choreographer’s view of the world.
